On November 12th, 1969 John Everett Sr. and Rosemary Dyson welcomed the birth of their fifth child Shawn Ladell. The proud parents gave Shawn the unconditional and eternal love that they had given their other off springs. That love and support allowed Shawn to live life to the fullest and to pursue his journey of truth. Shawn completed that Journey on June 24, 2008.
During his approximately 14,000 days of travel, Shawn encountered many people and touched many lives. He attended Westwood, Cherry Hill, and St. John Lutheran Schools. He was always active and very social. Shawn attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana where he attained membership in Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.
Shawn maintained a spiritual existence. He was a Christian that believed in the Baptist tradition. He was baptized at Middlebelt Baptist Church in Inkster, and had recently joined Zion Hope Missionary Church of Detroit.
Shawn was devoted to his family and enjoyed every opportunity to share in all gatherings. His pride was based in his commitment and love for his sons Jalen and Cameron. His time amongst us has ended, yet fond memories of shawn Ladell Dyson are shared by his mother Rosemary, his sister Deborah, his brothers Roderick and Christopher. He will also be remembered by his grandmother Addie, his uncles Anthony, Michael Eric, Everett Jr., Gregory and Brian Dyson, along with his aunt Evelyn. Uncle Shawn always had a special place in his heart for Jason, Chimere, Tiffany, Ramone, Damien, Lil' Rod, Miles, Lil' Jason and Nya. Beloved cousins Vagie, Portia, and Dana, and their children. this light will always shine brightly.
